IEF offers quality educational services that go beyond traditional academic learning, and develops a comprehensive curriculum framework tailored to the diverse needs of students, incorporating elements of local and international education standards. It employs innovative teaching methodologies and modern educational technologies to enhance the learning experience and prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century. It has currently been operating following 3 core programs:
William Carey Free School
Free School program has been managed by slum children every year. It not only provides educations, it also provides them education materials, food, uniforms, school bags, and household accessories free of cost. The students get helps financial support to study in higher classes in other schools, receive aid for physical disability – hearing aids, therapy etc. The school is run by 2 shifts following national curriculum Bengali curriculum. The alumni are studying in university, and colleges. Some of them have become pharmacist, police officer and work in IT profession.
William Carey Academy
William Carey Academy (WCA) is located in the heart of Chittagong, the second largest city in the country. It provides English-medium instruction using an American curriculum. The goal of the school is to provide a model of international-standard education which will prepare Bangladeshi students for study at world-class universities. Since 1996 it has educated a core group of children from the society. Many of them attained higher study from the USA, Canada, UK, and now contributing different sectors in Bangladesh. https://wcabangladesh.net
TESL
TESL program has been conducting classes of English language teaching to Bangladeshi learners. People who want to go abroad for higher education, and want to get good job or want to be involved in international business are in need of learning English. It teaches different levels of learners like school-age children, college students, women, teachers, and office workers. The classroom also has an English library, which is available for the use of current and former students. Children’s classes include group reading, worksheets, games, crafts, and other opportunities to practice English, especially reading. Adult classes focus on speaking, usually with opportunities to practice English speaking, listening, reading, and writing during each class.
